A heavy monsoon season in Thailand resulted in some of the country’s worst flooding in half a century. Hundreds of people have died, thousands are displaced and frantic efforts have been made to prevent further flooding into heavily populated areas, such as Bangkok. The disaster has resulted in damage totaling billions of U.S. dollars.
In response to the devastating flooding throughout Thailand, Give2Asia has launched a Thailand Flood Relief Fund 2011 to aid in relief efforts. Gifts to this fund will be used to help Give2Asia’s local partners in Thailand recover from the disasters.
